Shrimp Fried Rice
INGREDIENTS NEEDED
- Scallions, 1/2 bunch.
- Garlic powder, 2 teaspoons.
- 6 tablespoons oil, sesame is best, peanut is fine too.
- 1 Cup uncooked Rice, Jasmine or Basmatti are great
- 1-1/2 Cups mixed frozen or fresh vegetables of choice
- 6 large eggs.
- 12-16oz frozen or fresh shrimp, cooked, cleaned.
- Dry seasoning bullion. Pork, Chicken or dry wonton soup seasoning will all do fine.
PREPPING YOUR INGREDIENTS
(Prepare rice, veggies, Shrimp and eggs separately. Mix them together later)
+ Thaw out vegetables (if frozen), drain any fluid. set aside.
+ Thaw out Shrimp (if frozen), pat dry with paper towel. set aside.
+ Chop scallions, set aside.
+ Cook 1 cup dry rice.
+++ Add 2-3 tablespoons oil and about 2 tablespoons of dry bullion of desired flavor into rice and mix well. Set aside.
+ Scramble eggs, set aside.
COOKING YOUR FRIED RICE
Oil Wok or deep pan with 2-3 tablespoons Sesame or peanut oil, add rice, egg, veggies, scallions and garlic powder and then shrimp and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, then serve.
Replace Shrimp with chicken or other preferred meat, or nothing at all for a nice vegetarian rice.
Add some soy sauce if preferred.
